Getting the brunch ready that was on the 29th SEAS festival day./// Undirbúa brunchið sem var 29 september fyrir SEAS hátíðardaginn.

We at nes would like to thank everybody who particapated and helpt us with the event. We had some wonderful reviews, and new artworks that I´m sure left an interesting impression on the people who were involved. This was a wonderful excperience for me. And something i will never forget. To the artists that i was working with, you are all wonderful and i will miss working with you all. All of the artwork was incredible and it blew my mind. I will be posting photos and small captions like before everyday this week. Hope you all had as a wonderful time as me. -Linda Hentze

Sinéad hitti Guðmund Björnsson á þriðjudagskvöldið í björgunarsveitahúsinu, til að læra nokkra hnúta. Hún mun nota þessa hnúta í verk sitt fyrir SEAS hátíðina. // Sinéad met with Guðmundur Björnsson on Tuesday night at the Rescue house to learn knot tying techniques. She will use this knowledge to create tumbleweeds from rope for the SEAS Festival.

Við erum mitt í ferlinu, í uppbyggingu og vinnum áframað því sameiginlega markmiði að kanna hinar fjölþættu hliðar Skagastrandar. Við erum að vinna með strandmenninguna, sjávarréttina, berin, frásagnirnar, tengslin, minningarnar, nándina og hið óvænta. Við eru að mynda ný sambönd, nýjar leiðir, nýjungar og félagsleg tengsl. Við erum að þróa nýja rétti, uppgötva gagn sjávargróðurs, kynna sérrétti staðarins og safna efni í nýjar sögur. Við förum um landið, kynnumst þolmörkum okkar, takmörkunum okkar og ögrunum landsins og víðáttu þess. Við komumst að raun um hvernig þessi staður hefur áhrif á okkur, hvernig landslagið innra með okkur breytist með hverju skrefi sem við stígum í ytra umhverfinu. We have artists joining us from the far reaches of other continents and the collaborations of locals and different disciplines. We are in process, under construction, and working towards a unified front to explore the site of Skagaströnd. We are finding its' coastal culture, seafoods, berries, histories, connections, memories, intimacies, and the unexpected. We are creating relationships, new directions, innovations, and social constructs. We are developing new food dishes, discovering seaweeds, presenting site specific meals and foraging for stories. We are traversing this land, discovering our limits, our boundaries, and the challenges of the land and spaces. We are understanding how this place affects us, internally our landscapes are changing with each step we take in our external environment. We are understaking Site Exploratory Arts in Skagaströnd (S.E.A.S) and what we find is shaping ourselves, our work, our ideas, and our connection to each other. Nothing would make me happier than if you too were involved and affected, somehow, in your own way.
